I drammatici eventi che si stanno verificando sul territorio ucraino ci colpiscono profondamente e sono fonte di apprensione per tutta la nostra comunità.

Come Associazione dei Dottorandi e Dottori di Ricerca in Italia condanniamo duramente le operazioni militari della Federazione Russa in Ucraina ed esprimiamo piena solidarietà e vicinanza alla comunità civile e scientifica ucraina e alle colleghe e ai colleghi dell’associazione ucraina RMU, con cui cooperiamo in Eurodoc (http://www.eurodoc.net) la federazione europea delle associazioni di rappresentanza di dottorandi/e e giovani ricercatori/trici. 

Come associazione che nasce e vive all’interno delle istituzioni accademiche, ci associamo all’appello della CRUI (https://www.crui.it/archivio-notizie/ucraina-per-un%E2%80%99azione-diplomatica-forte.html), condividendo l’idea che «l’attenzione alla costruzione e al consolidamento della pace con mezzi pacifici sia vocazione costitutiva dell’Accademia».

In nome di questo, ci sentiamo moralmente obbligati ad offrire una vicinanza non solo figurata ma anche un sostegno concreto alle colleghe ed ai colleghi ucraini. 

In considerazione di ciò, riteniamo opportuno -  e ci impegneremo a far pervenire questa richiesta alle autorità accademiche attraverso le nostre sedi locali - che le istituzioni italiane della ricerca prendano pubblicamente posizione e intervengano concretamente al fine di accogliere le ricercatrici e i ricercatori ucraini per permettere il prosieguo delle loro attività scientifiche e di ricerca.

The dramatic events that are taking place in Ukraine deeply hurt us, causing a lot of concern for our entire community.

We, ADI, the Association of PhD Candidates and Researchers in Italy, strongly condemn the military actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and show full solidarity to the civil and scientific Ukrainian community, and to the colleagues of the Ukrainian association RMU, with whom we cooperate in Eurodoc (http://www.eurodoc.net) the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers.

As an association that is founded and lives within the academic institutions, we join the appeal of the CRUI (https://www.crui.it/archivio-notizie/ucraina-per-un%E2%80%99azione-diplomatica-forte.html), sharing the idea that "attention to the construction and consolidation of peace through peaceful means is a constitutive vocation of the Academy".

In the name of this desired objective, we feel morally obliged to offer not only a figurative solidarity but a concrete support to our Ukrainian colleagues.  In consideration of this, we believe that Italian research institutions must take a public position and implement concrete solutions in order to host Ukrainian researchers and scholars in the way they can carry on their scientific and academic activities, and we will strive to ensure that this request will reach all academic institutions through our local branches.
